Do you have a special helper in the kitchen and want to make them an apron just as cute as they are? Check out this personalized apron below, using both NuFun Light Fabric Transfer and NuFun Dark Fabric Transfer paper with a hand iron and heat press!
For best results, use a fabric that is cotton based. Wash the apron before transferring if it is new.
Please note, I used a heat press for the Light Fabric Transfer Paper and a hand iron for the Dark Fabric Transfer Paper. However, you can use either method of transferring for both papers.
Step One
Create the design that you want. I printed the wording and chef hat on the Light Fabric Transfer Paper and the red hearts on the Dark Fabric Transfer Paper to make sure the red color in the hearts really popped.
For the light fabric transfer: Create the design that you want. After you have it complete, make sure that you flip the image horizontally before printing. Make sure that you are printing with the suggested printing settings within the instruction sheet dependent on the printer that you have.
For the dark fabric transfer: Create the design that you want and print it. DO NOT flip the image horizontally before printing on Dark Fabric Transfer Paper. Make sure that you are printing with the suggested printing settings within the instruction sheet dependent on the printer that you have.

Step Two
Pre-iron your fabric surface before transferring to release any moisture.
Step Three
Cut your images and place them on the apron to confirm placement before transferring them.
For the light fabric transfer: Cut around the image. You do not need to cut exactly around the image, as the excess paper will show up clear on your fabric after transferred.
For the dark fabric transfer: Cut or use a cricket to cut very carefully around your image, removing any excess paper. The excess paper will show up as white on your fabric after transferred.

Step Three
Transfer the images.
For the light fabric transfer using the heat press: Set the heat press to the suggested settings within the instructions. Place the transfer IMAGE SIDE DOWN (line side up), place a sheet of parchment paper on top of the transfer, and transfer the image by closing the heat press after you have all of the settings correct. Make sure that after you are done transferring, remove the transfer HOT.

For the dark fabric transfer using a hand iron: Set the iron to “Cotton” setting. Remove the backing from the dark transfer sheet. Place IMAGE SIDE UP (line side down), place parchment paper over the transfer, and apply heat and pressure using a circular motion for two minutes.

Be sure when you are transferring your dark transfer images that you avoid applying heat to the areas where you have already transferred the wording.
Enjoy!
